Susan Feldman Elected to SISEA Office
Susan Idnan a Muscatine Community college freshman was elected secretary treasurer of the Southeast regional branch of the Student Iowa State Education Association at a meeting held at St Ambrose college in Davenport. Feldman will assume duties in September for the 1963 4 school year. She is a native of Illinois City and a Rockridge High school graduate studying elementary education. She is a member of the Junior College National Honor Society and participates in the community college dramatics group.

Next meeting set for May 28 at Mrs Kathleen Sands home. OES No 247 regular meeting at Masonic Hall featured a mothers day program with readings and poems. The next meeting is June 11. Mr and Mrs Ray Rukgaber returned Monday after visiting their daughter Miss Cecile Rukgaber in Peoria Illinois.

Hayes High honors students at 1983 scholarship banquet
Hayes High School hosted a May 1983 scholarship banquet with about 200 attendees. Stephen Sontag won the Knights of Columbus Outstanding Student award while Kathleen Maher received the Catholic Daughters scholarship. Jo Anne Buck earned a $200 tuition scholarship to Mercy College Cedar Rapids, and Maher and Sontag were co editors of the Hayes Herald.
