Former Muscatine Pastor Succumbs in St. Louis
Rev. John B. Kleffmann former pastor of Faith United Church of Christ in Muscatine died Sunday afternoon at St. Marys hospital St. Louis after a period of illness He was born August 16 1899 in St. Louis and served churches in Columbus Ohio Colby Kansas Junction City Kansas Harvey Illinois Elkton South Dakota and Fulton Missouri He was a civilian chaplain at Fort Riley Kansas during World War II and later served in St Louis as chaplain to city institutions He married Mable Jenner in 1931 and had two children Kirby and Jacolin two grandchildren and a brother Rev Walter Kleffmann survives Services are pending in St Louis.
