Cruelty to Animal Proves Expensive
Ten dollars and ten cents is the amount it cost Louis Hahn for leaving a horse tied on East Hill from 9 yesterday morning until about 6 last night. He pled guilty to cruelty to animals before Judge H. S. Howe this afternoon. J. H. Kessels had traded moving tackle to W. S. Elliot for the horse and later claimed it was not as represented. Yesterday he sent it back to Mr. Elliot, but Hahn arrived with the horse and Elliot declined to receive it, so Hahn left it tied nearby where Constable Joe Duncan found it about 6 o'clock last evening.
