Daily Mastitis Tests Highlight Alarm System for Farms
Iowa State University veterinary expert Dr. R A Packer urges farmers to use daily mastitis tests as an alarm system. Emphasis on frequent application to prevent herd losses.

Keep Pigs Cool During Summer To Be Ready for Early Market
Iowa State experts urge summer cooling for growing finishing pigs to avoid late fall price declines. Speer and Mangold discuss shade, mist sprayers, and concrete floors to maintain comfort, improve feed efficiency, and speed market readiness before September. Conception rates and litter size may drop in hot weather, so cooling benefits breeding stock as well.
