Coralville Reservoir to raise level starting July first
Colonel BR. M. Fry announced Rock Island District will raise Coralville Reservoir from elevation 670 to 680 beginning July 1, keeping 670 February through June to reduce flood risk. The higher pool boosts recreational value while protecting lives and property, with minimum downstream flow requirements maintained. A barge will clear hazards as the pool reaches 680.
