He predicted Smith would endure the worst licking any Democratic nominee ever received.
Vienna reports the death of Leo Dittrichstein a noted American actor and playwright who died last night in a sanatorium at Auersperg from heart disease.
Iowa Senator Brookhart says Herbert Hoover will present a farm relief program stronger than the Republican platform and acceptable to middle west farmers. Brookhart doubts the Democratic agenda will win farm votes and plans to press Hoover’s plan once revealed. He will head south in early July for a senatorial inquiry into post office appointment ethics.
Motion picture star Bebe Daniels was hospitalized in Los Angeles after an attack of intestinal influenza. She fell ill while at work yesterday and her condition improved to a restful, comfortable state today as doctors monitored her.
