Neighbors sue zoning board over rural trailer permit
In Muscatine district court neighbors sue the Muscatine county zoning board of adjustment over a trailer residence permit issued to Raoul David and Peggy Ann Wolf in Sweetland township near the Mississippi River. The suit, led by Lawrence and Grace Braun and others, asserts failure of proper notice and seeks to nullify the board action, citing the county ordinance requiring 100 percent adjoining landowner consent for trailer permits in R-1 zones. The case notes the permit was granted December 1965 and affirmed May, with plaintiffs unaware until May 9, 1946 and appealing May 4. no 90 day appeal followed due to lack of notice.
