Northwest Grain Rate Cases Decide Interterritorial Rates
The Interstate Commerce Commission ruled that grain rate differences among Minnesota North Dakota Iowa and Wisconsin routes to Duluth Superior Milwaukee and Chicago are not discriminatory. It ordered through Duluth Superior and related routes to be adjusted with minor differentials and set ceilings on certain via Duluth routes. The decision, issued in one opinion by Commissioner Clark, covered four cases including the SunnevIt Sommerniat club versus Great Northern and other chamber of commerce disputes. In Washington a Bryan said he had no appointment to see Senator La Follette and would be glad to meet him if invited.
