A cyclone also wrecked the Santiago wreck could not confirm. Senator Long's barn and Ralph Faxon home were destroyed in Hutchinson area. No injuries reported there.
In Kalamazoo Michigan a tornado struck a recreation park early this morning killing three race horses and a man. William Wiedmayer aged 39 died after contacting a live telephone wire.
Sergeant Charles Robison of Company C posted 42 points at the 300 yard line during a company range west of town yesterday. The high score reflects a strong marksmanship showing by the serviceman.

In Rochester New York on June 24 a passenger train collided with a freight train a mile east of Pittsford. Five people died and about a dozen were injured. The crash occurred after the freight train conductor forgot the passenger train was in service. Emmit Lyons, son of the freight engineer, was among the fatalities. Most injured were hospitalized. Lyons died in the cab with his father.
Delegates from Tokio Osaka Kobe Kyoto and Yokohama met to draft a resolution warning of the danger to US Japan trade from anti Japanese sentiment on the Pacific coast. They urge swift steps to restore commerce and plan to wire the US chambers of commerce for cooperation within days.
Chicago June 24 Sam H Harris president of a cigarrette firm railed against Lucy Page Gaston calling her a freak and vowing to fight her as he campaigns against the new anti cigarette law. He argued the measure was obtained by false pretenses and would deprive citizens of smoking freedoms.
The headless body of Walter Lawana, aged ? years, was found hidden two miles inside a swamp north of New Orleans. Authorities say Italian Black Hand kidnappers held him for a $6000 ransom and one suspect, Ignazio Campisciano, confessed, guiding a posse to the body after fearing discovery.

Denver officials disclose six of seventy three individuals indicted by a federal grand jury on land fraud charges. Warrants issued for the other sixty seven men are to be executed slowly as suspects are located across Wisconsin Missouri Iowa New Mexico Wyoming and other states. Named defendants include A T Sullenberger Edgar M Biggs John Porter Robert Forrester Otis B Spencer and John J McGinnity with ties to lumber coal and related enterprises and former federal offices.
Miss Alpha Thompson, 30, a two year teacher in Ainsworth schools, killed herself in Ainsworth by taking carbolic acid. She had attended the county institute in Washington last week and is described as temporarily mentally deranged. She was well known at Columbus Junction.
Chicago June 24 Suffering in agony from burns he received in an oil tank blast Cash Allen 28 saved Griffiths Indiana from total destruction by crawling to the Erie depot and telegraphing for help to Huntington and La Porte Allen the village telegraph operator in Griffiths in charge of the Erie station and of Standard Oil tanks and pipelines Prompt aid from La Porte and nearby towns saved 500 residents homes fifty acres burned and 50000 damage before the blaze was controlled.
Houston Va June 24 The trial of former judge W G Loving for the murder of Theodore Estes began today. The proceedings promise to renew interest in the McCue and Strothers Bywaters case and to test again the so called unwritten law as a legal principle. A jury was quickly secured and testimony began.
John Bello, an Italian, admitted to killing a man and wounding two women aboard a train east of Goodland Kansas. He told an interpreter that the shooting occurred in his sleep as part of a dream during the night.
Six year old Edward Urbas was killed when struck by a street car in Chicago on June 24. Within minutes a mob of enraged Polish residents surrounded the car crew, their attempts to lynch the men triggering a riot.

Clyde Glidden aged 7 is jailed on a charge of incendiarism for allegedly burning two houses last week in Parkersburg West Virginia. The houses were occupied and families barely escaped. The crime carries the death penalty unless mercy is recommended by the jury, in which case life imprisonment.
