Muscatine Accepts Musser Library Offer Special Election Planned
The Muscatine City Council considers a gift offer from P. M. Musser to build and donate a free public library valued at not less than $39,000. A special election is set for July 12, 1909 to decide establishing a free public library with taxation for maintenance. The Muscatine Library Association would transfer books and furniture to the city upon completion.
