Desert inn life tests Katharine in a tale of memory and certainty
Katharine Strykhurst, 20 and beautiful, travels to Evelyn Herbert’s desert inn Silencia with plans for annulment after marrying Michael Heatheroe. Michael’s amnesia after a crash leaves Katharine believing he deserted her while SALLY MOON schemes and Dr. Kaye loves Katharine. Katharine finds quiet life at Silencia amid guests, art talks, and a longing for meaning as she contemplates her future away from New York.
