Iowan Dentist Dies After Plane Crash in River
Dr. B. F. Gibbs of Council Bluffs was reported dying in a Gothenburg hospital after a plane crash in the Platte River. Fellow victims Dr. M. E. O Keefe and Clifford Burnham were injured but expected to recover. Burnham planned to fly home in his brother s aircraft. The craft hit a funnel cloud and sank in six feet of water.
