Pipe Dredge Reverses Flow To River Side Of Levee
Residents objected to creating a lake on the east side of Oregon Street with dredge sand and water. The pipes are now emptying on the river side of the levee instead of inside the enclosed region. Sand and gravel had piled up on sawdust, which would have risen to levee level if continued. A future plan is hoped to extract benefits of the fill without the current objection.
