City Council Raises City Attorney Pay to $1200
Muscatine council last night approved an ordinance increasing the city attorney salary from 800 to 1200 dollars annually. The meeting covered sidewalk grade disputes on Third street, plans for Davenport and Suburban railroad access, requests for a new voting precinct, and protests against street lunch counters. A number of sidewalk petitions and a compensation dispute involving Dr. D. P. Miller were discussed, with several items referred to committees for action.
