Supervisors Approve Rezoning for Kent in Sweetland Township
Kent Feeds plans to move a drive in store from Muscatine and set up feed grinding, mixing, grain storage, and potential fertilizer bulk blending on a four acre Sweetland tract after the county board approved re zoning from A 1 to industrial. The approval allowed most uses but refused anhydrous ammonia installation amid odor and livestock damage concerns. About 15 attended the hearing where fears over the ammonia facility were raised. The site is near the Sweetland Sales barn and an option to purchase by Kent Feeds was noted.
