Ray assails tax-raising Iowa legislature in broadcast of discontent

He noted the budget rose from 208 to 267 million dollars and cited 19 permissive measures that could lift local property taxes, predicting roughly ten mills increase and warning against false hope of property tax relief from state aid. Ray also slammed plans for state income tax withholding and double taxation, saying a GOP would have avoided such practices.
