Iowa rainfall varied wildly across counties this week
Des Moines reports the week ending June 16 brought rainfall from 0.10 inch to over 6 inches with state totals above normal in much of the state. Heaviest amounts appeared in Grundy, Hardin and Franklin counties while flood relief and improved weather are expected as cereal crops suffered heavy damage but grain prospects brighten with normal conditions returning. Hay crops are heavy, pastures excellent, and vegetables showing strong growth.
