Neighbor shoots dog after home scene recounting grows heated

He explains firing with a coal scuttle, apologizes, and notes neighbors kicked someone from a subdivision before discovering the identity amid shouted street chaos. The tale is tied to historic Tilghtman Island raids and the enslaved Old George, later freed, who recalled British marauders and his own harsh memories.
