James Worley about 50 was found dead in a box car on railway tracks near the McKee Button company at 6 15 a m. Apoplexy apparently caused his death. Police were notified by railway officials told of the death by two other men who slept in the same car. Coroner W S Norton deemed an inquest unnecessary.
Police and firemen who have worked every fourth week off since June 1 will return to regular hours next Monday. The council approved paying for the time off as a temporary measure, applying the same plan to all on duty. Assistant chief George Luchardt highlighted that only part of the fire force was on staggered shift.
