Old Settlers of Louisa Gather in Wapello for Annual Meeting
The Old Soldiers meeting in Wapello proved the county’s most successful, held at the court square with music and speeches. A long list of local residents who settled in earlier years attended, and officers were re-elected for the next year. A later evening of feasting, congratulations, and a wedding announcement capped the day as the Letts band offered a serenade.
