The Tow a Rose Show will be held at the Shopping Center Mall Spencer Iowa on Sunday June 20. Jim Lillie chairs the event with rosegrowers from Iowa Missouri Nebraska and Kansas expected to compete for major trophies across three simultaneous shows. The central district show of the American Rose Society will draw participants from the district. the Tow a Rose Society show and the northwest district Town Rose Society invite members and some non members to enter. The event features air conditioned rooms and bloom refrigeration with free public admission 1 50 to 5 30 PM.

Bloomington Grange Hosts Meeting and Honors Fathers
Bloomington Grange held a business meeting and honored all fathers for Father’s Day. Members thanked participants in the sewing contest and noted the September state meeting. Readings were given by Ruth Boorn Norma Born and Michael Esmail. Community service crews cut grass and cleaned the Grange hall on Friday June 4. Serving committee for the July 8 meeting includes Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Irwin and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Imhoff.
