Increase in Iowa plants over three years report
Des Moines report cites Iowa Manufacturing Association figures from the Iowa Development Commission showing total Iowa factories rising from 3466 to 3624 in three years. Within the 250 to 500 employee group there were 62 plants in 1959, 58 in 1961. The largest gain came from 100 to 250 employee plants rising 25 percent from 168 in 1959 to 211 in the prior year.
