Hope To Build Milking Parlor In Cedar County Farm
Mr and Mrs Harold Leazer of Wilton Minnesota farm in Farmington township Cedar county. They mil k about 20 Holsteins on their farm and already installed a bulk tank in 1959 and four pipeline in 1961. They plan to build a milking parlor this summer with an eye toward a silo once funds allow. They also raise about 300 hogs a year and their cows average around 50 pounds of milk daily. They sell roughly 2000 pounds to Mississippi Valley Milk Producers every other day. Their son Steve aged 9 works as hired help and adopted daughter Sandra nearly two enjoys the cows. They rely on the DHIA sampler test and stress that management is the key to daily performance.
