College board to hear report on Muscatine facilities
The Eastern Iowa Community College District board will hear a facilities report on Muscatine Community College at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Similar facility committee reports are planned for Clinton and Scott campuses. The meeting at 3544 Brady St Davenport will consider personnel matters and a lease with the Jackson County Development Corporation.

Summer playground programs to begin in Muscatine
Muscatine Park Commission sponsors a summer playground program for children four to 14 starting Monday. Seven sites operate weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. through June 11 to August 4 with weekly features and a city contest. Ronald Reifert oversees. activities include a frisbee and hula hoop contest aiming for state and national competition.
