Drownings in Iowa raise tally to fifth in two days
Two more drownings in Iowa reported Monday raise the two day toll to five. Danny Kiene 18 of Des Moines drowned when a boat with two other workers sank at Easter Lake. Roger Hanson 19 of Denison drowned while swimming at Lake Manawa near Council Bluffs. Hanson’s body recovered about an hour later.

Two Accidents In Muscatine Involving Four Vehicles
Police investigated Monday two separate accidents. At 3 02 p m a 1965 Pontiac driven by Sheldon Bebb 64 of 2106 Sampson St backed into a parked 1965 Plymouth owned by Nancy Aggson 21034 Wallace St in an alley on Indiana St. Bebb s car suffered over 100 damage to the left side. Later at 9 11 p m on Grandview Ave east of Bleeker St a 1966 car driven by Marion Newman 23 of 1614 Willow St collided with a 1966 Chevrolet driven by Ellis Elma McCormick 59 of 1916 Breese St when McCormick changed lanes.
