Young Doe in Window Death Leap at Spiegel Center
A young doe leaped through a plate glass window at Spiegel Catalog Shopping center in Muscatine injuring and killing itself. The animal was found dead along the riverfront at 5 10 a m. Its companion was not found. A larger animal sighting was reported earlier near 10th street and Mulberry Avenue. Conservation officer Erv Jennings removed the carcass.

Four Hurt In Mishap On Curve
Four people were injured in a two car collision at 3 05 p m Wednesday on County Road C west of Muscatine near the Cedar River bridge. Gustav R Freedland and Harold D Brockert drove left front ends into each other causing substantial damage. Freedland treated for cuts and bruises and released from Muscatine General Hospital. Brockert and passengers Marilyn and Audie Brockert were treated by a physician for injuries.
