Junior's Reception At School A Most Enjoyable Event
The January end June class at the High School held a reception for staff and students during commencement week. Mrs J H St John delivered the featured role and Clyde Ryan and Miss Gail Thompson spoke. A funeral march by the high school orchestra closed the program before refreshments were served.

Oldest Wapello Resident J George Fath Dies at 82
Ja Fath a long time resident of Wapello dies at home after a stroke. Born in Baden Germany in 1828 he immigrated with family in 1846. He lived in Buffalo and Louisa County before settling in Jefferson township and later Wapello. Interment in Wapello cemetery. Also Chas Bernhard of Port Louisa township dies aged 91. He had lived in the county for about fifty years and is survived by two wives and several daughters.
