Apple crop in Muscatine county looks promising this year

County agent J W Morrill reports the Muscatine apple crop may match the average harvest with about five to six percent of the crop expected to be damaged by late freezes. Grapes also show promise, cherries may be good if no more water damage occurs, and many vines are damaged by the cold but not all are bearing this season. Card of thanks from the Sywaninski family expresses gratitude for support after the death of wife and father.
