Funeral services for First Lieutenant Jerry A. Bunn 27 of Muscatine killed in action in Viet Nam July 16 will be at 2 pm Monday at Mulford Evangelical Free Church. Burial with military detail from Fort Leonard Wood will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. He was born June 12, 1942 in Muscatine and survived by parents, widow, daughter Mistine Marie, one brother, one sister and grandparents.

Boy escapes injury after bicycle car collision at Iowa Ave
Thomas Hinrichison 13 of 1103 Town avenue escaped serious injury after his bicycle collided with Floyd Amos's Oldsmobile at the Iowa Avenue and 10th Street intersection at 9:29 p.m. Friday. He was treated at Muscatine General Hospital and dismissed. Amos, traveling south on Iowa, turned east on 10th and had no lights. Damaged right front fender noted on the Oldsmobile. A second Friday mishap on Isett Avenue involved Linda Millage and William Nietzel. Millage's Chevrolet hit Nietzel's parked car, with over $100 damage to a right door and fender and minor bumper damage to the Nietzel vehicle.

Kenneth L. Duncan, Muscatine county director of relief, said food stamps will be sold on August 4 5 6 7 and 11 18 25 at the relief office in the courthouse. Selling hours are 9 to 11 45 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m. Applicants must bring proof of income social security pension and rent or house payments plus any medical insurance and bills. Applications may be filed at the relief office any day except sale days.

Army heroism medal for Pfc Lukavsky in Vietnam
Private First Class Duane H. Lukavsky 22 son of Harold and Mrs Lukavsky Route 3 Columbus Junction received the Army Commendation Medal near Tay Ninh Vietnam for heroism in ground combat.
