Funeral for Schuyler Verdon Held in Wapello
Funeral services were conducted at the Verdon home for Schuyler Verdon who died in Hot Springs New Mexico and was brought to Wapello for burial. Knights of Pythias members led the grave service as Rev R J L Matthews and Rev Parvin officiated. Verdon, a Presbyterian and Sunday school worker, left a wife and three children with the community extending sympathy.

Letts and children depart for Chicago to meet Mr. Letts returning from Champeachy, Mexico. J. J. Duncan and family visiting in town. R. L. Klotz visited Iowa City yesterday.

In Carbondale Oregon district a woman killed her husband George Jaubert after he attacked her and her sister at their Oroville home. She then shot and mortally wounded his brother Moses as he advanced. Both men died near the doorway and near the grass. A coroner's jury absolved the woman of blame.
