It highlights glycerine content, claims digestive and mucous membrane benefits, and warns it cannot cure advanced consumption while urging use for chronic coughs and catarrh with accompanying remarks on other remedies.
Henry Laurens Call known for the Concentration of Wealth lecture in Muscatine has unveiled an airship built in Girard Kansas. The 50 foot long craft weighs 3000 pounds with 2000 feet of canvas. a company named Aerial Navigation Company of America is formed with Girard as headquarters and stock subscriptions strong.
The Colonel Hare Ladies hosted a reception for seven new members at a meeting last evening. An engaging program of musical and literary numbers followed, with ice cream and cake served. The society shows rapid growth and plans to attend Gen Black's lecture at the chautauqua.

The Diamond Jo Packet line replaces the Sidney with the larger faster steamer Dubuque in the St Louis Davenport trade. The Dubuque will shorten trips and handle more freight, starting July 21 with weekly departures from St Louis and arrivals early Thursday mornings up river, return late afternoon. Also Army inquiry seeks concise reports on government dam power across the territory and unused and used power with prices.

A state health report shows measles caused 4191 cases in Iowa in the first five and a half months of the year, about 40 percent of infectious diseases, with 10 398 total cases and measles accounting for a large share. The annual meeting of the state boards is set for Des Moines July 14 15 16.
