Fred Giesler a 96 year old Civil War veteran died at his Muscatine home after a three week illness. He suffered a broken hip in a June 12 fall and was a Union Army veteran of the 35th Iowa. Surviving children are Winifred and Frank. Funeral 4 p m Sunday at Fairbanks Home for Funerals with Dr. Berger. Burial Greenwood cemetery. His death leaves four Civil War veterans in Muscatine.
