Muscatine Launch Club's Rise and Regatta History
A brief history of the Muscatine Launch Club from its 1907 formation by about a dozen enthusiasts, the floating clubhouse, and the creation of the Mississippi Valley Power Boat association. It details leadership changes, regatta wins, trips to Burlington and Keokuk, a fish fry, and the 200-member club now leasing riverfront ground and building a substantial clubhouse under a manager board.

Motorboat Use Expands in Stavanger Norway
In Stavanger the motorboat market is young with few small local builders. larger vessels are imported from England Denmark Sweden and the United States. The coast’s fjords and inlets support water travel and new milk and passenger routes boost transport. Fishing dominates and fleets shift from sail to motor power, with sails likely to fade soon.
