Ogden Businessman Killed by Northwestern Train
William Schwene, a popular Ogden businessman, was killed instantly by a fast Northwestern train while hurrying home after closing his store. A switch engine on a siding blocked the view of the approaching train, and Schwene was hurled about fifty feet along the track but escaped mangling by falling to one side.
