John LaTourette a pioneer of Muscatine county died this morning at his son Wilbert's home in Lake township. He was 83. The funeral will be Wednesday afternoon at his residence with interment in Greenwood cemetery in this city.
New York February 17 Jeffries lies ill in bed with tonsillitis and grip and the illness may develop into pneumonia. He contracted the cold after a boxing match at Williamsburgh theatre Saturday night and neglected it.
