Gulfport Iowa. Mrs Vance McCloud 47 of Fairfield Iowa was struck by two autos and killed Sunday night while walking along Highway 34 near Gulfport. The drivers were not held. Des Moines man Leonard D Wilson 56 died Sunday of burns from a fire in his apartment last Thursday. Fire started in a mattress on his bed and confined to his apartment. Survivor of Indian Wars Dies at 93. Joshua Johnson 93 of Boone identified by Veterans Administration as one of 13 survivors of the Indian Wars died Monday at Veterans Hospital after heart ailment. Two Escapees Face Burglary Charges. Charles City two Eldora State Training School for Boys escapees charged with burglary and robbery with aggravation. Identified as Charles Ferch 14 Charles City and William Phares 17 Davenport.

Cascade Flood Peril in Iowa Bypassed by Explosive Jam Break
An eastern Iowa town of Cascade faced a flood danger when an ice jam on the Maquoketa River was broken up by dynamite. Chain reaction crash damages seven cars injures four
Seven automobiles were damaged and four persons treated at Muscatine General Hospital after a pile up on Highway 61 82 southwest of Muscatine starting about 10 20 p m Sunday. An eighth car went into a ditch. James C Browning aided others but collapsed. Alice Bowling drove into Browning’s car rear. Damage estimated around 4000 with four wreckers and three ambulances attending.
