Workers Clear Road to Aid Ailing Woman
WPA laborers and local farmers battled snowdrifts up to 12 feet high to open a one way route to the Merrill Satterthwaite farm bringing medical aid to Mrs. Satterthwaite and Mrs. George Dilbert. Death of Muscatine Meat Market Man G Shellabarger
Glenn Carl Shellabarger a Muscatine resident for 13 years died at 916 Cedar street after a seven month illness. He operated a meat market in Muscatine, was born March 14 1892 in Louisa county, married Jessie Cocklin in 1915, and was a member of the Methodist church and Muscatine Elk lodge. He leaves a wife two children his parents a brother and two sisters. Funeral services are at the Hoffman Funeral home with Elks lodge home services and burial in Grandview cemetery.
