The proprietor, Thomas Clark aged 76 of the Hotel Alexandria in Pittsburg, died of heart failure from shock after a fire alarm yesterday. Fire loss totaled 2500 dollars.
Carson City Nevada February 6 The Nevada Legislature has passed a joint resolution making it a crime for any legislator or state official to ride on a railroad pass or to accept reduced transportation rates from a common carrier.
The Chicago Rock Island Pacific Railway company announced in New York that it sold $6,500,000 worth of 4 1/2 percent equipment notes to Speyers and Company. The notes are payable in 20 semi annual installments beginning August 1 next.
