Three injured in two car crash near New Boston Ill
In Mercer County two cars collided at the New Boston blacktop and Hainois 17 Saturday night. Mrs. Larry Anderson of Wapello and her daughter Mrs. Barbara Behrens were treated at Muscatine General Hospital with Anderson released and Behrens in satisfactory condition. Richard Harvey of Joy was treated at Mercer County Hospital and released. Harvey faced charges for driving with a suspended license and driving too fast for conditions.

Cottage break in and vandalisms reported near Muscatine
Break in a cottage occupied by Wilfrid S. Dederich near Wendling Quarries along the Cedar River is believed to have occurred in the past week, with two propane tanks and other items stolen. Eight mailboxes on routes 2 and 3 and along Iowa 22 were damaged in late Saturday or early Sunday incidents. A car driven by Madeline McKee, 16, skidded on ice and left Iowa 22 three miles east of Muscatine at 9:45 a.m. Sunday. no injuries were reported.

YMCA Plans Two Ski Trips For Muscatine Youth
The YMCA sponsors two ski trips to Sundown Ski Area in Dubuque for Muscatine youth. Departures are Saturday Feb 7 and Monday Feb 16 from 6:40 a.m. with return by 7:30 p.m. Costs are $17 members and $19 non members, covering lift tickets rental and a lesson. Ten people arrested in Muscatine drug and theft probe
