Tax bills in Muscatine County likely late in 1967
Muscatine County property tax bills for 1967 may be delayed beyond the usual April 1 deadline as mill levies for the new Eastern Iowa Community college district and Muscatine Scott county education board are not yet received. Auditor John Rex expects May 1 as the new penalty date for first-half taxes, with delays caused by late mill rate calculations and state actions on valuations in Scott County.
