Giant Cuzco corn and Primitive corn at Des Moines show
A Des Moines corn show highlighted rare exhibits including the Primitive or Wild Husk corn believed to be the original type and the Giant Cuzco corn noted for its enormous kernels nearly a quarter in size. About 24,000 Cuzco kernels were imported from Peru for display, drawing public interest in corn varieties and the evolution of dent corn.
