Cedar Falls Iowa December 13 Nis Nis sen died suddenly yesterday morning while rising from bed at age 90. He celebrated his sixty fifth wedding anniversary last Thursday. His wife is in precarious condition and may not survive long. They were longtime county residents.
Mrs A W Armour mother of Charles W Armour and Kirkland B Armour died suddenly at home from heart disease in Kansas City on December 13. She was found dead in her bed.
Junction City Kansas December 13 A large number of farmers organized an anti hunting association this week. The group started with 31 names and is growing daily. Members will prosecute any hunter found on their lands.
Lawton Oklahoma Territory December 13 The Cash and Young Bros gin at Junction City and all contents were burned in a blaze causing an estimated loss of about 5000 dollars. Most cotton ginned was saved as it lay to the south of the building and a strong wind blew from that direction.
In Omaha Nebraska on December 18 Harry Kruger and Edward Moleski both ten years old drown after venturing onto thin ice at Cutoff lake. Their bodies were recovered about thirty minutes later but resuscitation failed.
In Topeka on December 13 a federal jury awarded J. J. Berry of Topeka judgment for $47,000 against Charlie Hapgood of Alton NL. The two men were partners in a real estate venture.
Willie Mc Kay aged 12 is jailed in Gubhrie Oklahoma on the charge of burning his mother's home after she spanked him for lying in bed late.
The District of Columbia court of appeals affirms the criminal court ruling in the postal conspiracy cases. Defendants August W. Mayhew George F. Lorens Samuel A. Groff and Diller B. Groff were sentenced to two years in the penitentiary and fined $10,000.
Palmer opens a resolution to impeach federal Judge Charles Swayne of the northern district of Florida for high misdemeanor. He cites Swayne’s absence from the district and lack of Florida ties. Grinnell Iowa December 13 Citizens' National bank replacing the wrecked First National bank will open this week. It is expected that the first dividend of 25 percent to First National depositors will be paid soon and the new bank will receive its share of deposits by then. The total dividend to defunct First National depositors is about 82000 dollars.
Cracksmen blew the Grandview national bank safe in Cleburne Texas on December 13. A second charge wedged the door but yielded no loot. The robbers stole a team and bought tickets for Fort Worth. no arrests have been made.
Ethel Ruby a 13 year old from Stockton Oklahoma died in Lawton of heart failure shortly after leaving home for school. She was in high spirits over starting the new term and collapsed about 100 yards from her house.
Rollin H. Cook, a noted genealogist and pedestrian, of Pittsfield Massachusetts, died aged 61 from burns suffered at his office when a kerosene lamp exploded.
