Christmas Meetings Named by Columbus Groups
Columbus WSCS of the Columbus City Methodist church holds a Christmas potluck dinner on Wednesday December 14 at noon with Edith Smith and Faye Cassabaum hosting and Blanche Williams leading the program. The VFW Auxiliary meets December 13 at the Post Home for a Christmas gathering with a fifty cent gift exchange. The Post Home is at the Bar M rodeo grounds. Local families planning to move home include Mr and Mrs Larry Prior. Several church groups approve year budget and funding for a new education unit at United Presbyterian. The Old Clifton Club hosts a Christmas party with gift exchange and committees named. The United Presbyterian Women meet December 15 for a combined circle Christmas potluck at 6:30 PM with cookies candy and fruits to pack for shut-ins. The Ministerial Association meets at the Methodist manse for a noon potluck with Mrs Josten and Mrs Bundy guiding, and Mrs Sunderman leading devotions.
