Lawsuit Draws Many to Tipton Over Linograph Stock Fraud
In Tipton Iowa farmers and businesspeople testified in a case involving Northwestern Securities of Davenport against farmer Peter J Schneckloth. The note for 4600 dollars was issued by Schneckloth to Linograph Investment Co. The defense claims Pederson sold stock with high commissions, profits to promoters, and misrepresented returns. Schneckloth argues innocent purchaser status was not present due to officer involvement at Northwestern Securities. The defendant testified he refused to pay 4600 dollars for “free wind.”
