Pike Grange met in Nichols with 23 members and five guests including Arthur Black state executive board member. Harold Carter presided. plans were announced for bake sale bazaar at West Liberty, Ray McCullough Farm Sale lunch on Jan. 11, and a December card party. Next meeting Dec. 18 will feature a Christmas program.

The Muscatine City Board of Review schedules a reconvened session at City Hall from December 2, 1968 through January 3, 1969 to hear protests from property owners about tax assessments. Protests must be written and filed by December 30, 1968 with the assessor for review.
Rotary Club of West Liberty Hear Speakers
The Rotary Club of West Liberty heard Mr and Mrs Harry Ranta discuss the Muscatine County home. They described the new dormitory enabling capacity over 100, and noted 60 current residents with county residents cared for by Cedar and Louisa counties. They spoke about the ongoing Thatcher Glass Corp educational program and named guests Mel Alloway, Robert English, and John Thimesch. A fireside Rotary gathering was planned and Leslie Steen chaired the next meeting at the home of Mr and Mrs Harold Keele.
