Decorations unlit in Muscatine this Christmas season
Muscatine downtown Christmas lights will not be illuminated due to the national energy crisis. Lighting had been scheduled Dec 9 to Christmas Day, reducing the previous period. Power and Water GM James P Fuller said the lights will stay off this year, possibly the last for the existing decorations. Overhead decor normally lasts about five years, and this is the sixth season.
