Mysterious Woman Flees Fairport for Montpelier After Late Night Departure
The Journal reports a woman calling herself Thompson left Fairport on Thursday night, Nov. 20, without paying for board. She arrived in Montpelier Friday morning, described in detail, and departed unceremoniously after late-night lamp and door were found ajar. She claimed Evanston, Illinois as home and planned to join a friend to Burlington, then Montana, but her story appeared inconsistent and she left without payment. Local residents seek further information to identify or locate her.
