September district court term opens with heavy docket

The September term begins Tuesday with about fifty new cases expected. Jury actions start with Citizens Railway and Light Company versus Forepaugh and Sells Brothers Circus over alleged track damage on East Second street. The Law Enforcement League mulct petition appeal looms large, and James W. Phillips seeks 16000 damages for eye loss at Edward Kemper’s Fairport saw mill. The criminal docket remains light with few sensational cases.
