Predict Record Corn Crop To Produce Price Pressure

American farmers are expected to harvest a record 4.56 billion bushels of corn this year with an average yield of 1.5 bushels per acre, per the USDA August crop report. Iowa forecasts 925 million bushels at 95 bushels per acre, while Nebraska and the Corn Belt show mixed yields. The report also notes higher outputs for other feed grains and a large old crop carryover, signaling potential storage shortages and price pressure as market movement under price support loans could rise this fall.
