Murphysboro Illinois August 14 AP James Malone 24 Du Quoin aviator admitted introducing Paul Montgomery the confessed pilot of an airplane that raided Providence Kentucky mines last Monday to two Kentucky miners accused of plotting and carrying out the raid. Malone and five Zeigler miners were jailed as authorities continued probes into the air raid. Essell Grant and Ewing Riley arrested at Providence were named by Montgomery as implicated. Three arrests in Webster county mine raid were followed by a fire destroying the Providence Mining tipple and two coal cars. The loss was about 50000 dollars and the blaze was blamed on revenge for the arrests. Grant and Riley posted 5000 bonds each and their hearing set for Friday. Montgomery awaited arraignment. union leaders planned a meeting. Grant and Riley denied knowing Montgomery, who said he was hired for the flight.
